TLS Support Changes
On Tuesday 15th May we will no longer support TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.0 across the Trade Me API and websites.
By this date all API client and browser requests should use TLS 1.2 (or a later version) to ensure that everything keeps working as expected.
Please check your applications to ensure that they are using TLS 1.2 or will not be affected by the upcoming changes. We also recommend checking any libraries you rely on, and that any webviews used for oAuth integration will continue to work.
Update: We have moved this change from Tuesday 1 May to Tuesday 15 May 2018 so we can address some infrastructure concerns related to the change.
Update: On 03/04/2018 we released this change to tmsandbox.co.nz. All requests to the sandbox that are not TLS 1.2 (or above) will return a 400 error with the following message:
You need to use TLS 1.2 to connect to Trade Me Sandbox. This will be required for all connections from May 1. For more info see http://trade.me/tls-change
